We are always proud to support small independent producers and where possible we always buy locally. Redgate Cider couldn’t get much more local, grown by local business man and life long friend Gordon Chambers in the village of Drumahoe, only 4 miles from our restaurant this delicious cider really is a local artisan product.
Six years ago when Gordon a keen gardener and bee keeper started planting a variety of heritage apple trees sourced from throughout Ireland and the UK, with apple yield doubling year on year there was only a certain amount of apple pies one person could eat so Gordon turned his surplus apples into an amazing product that we are delighted to be able to share with our customers. The medium dry cider is best served ice cold and goes perfectly with our wood fired pizzas, especially the pork based menu items, Corndale Farm Chorizo and Grants cooked gammon.
With word of just how good his cider is Gordon is now supplying more and more small independent restaurants and we are delighted with its success and to be amongst the first to champion this great local product.
